We conduct menstrual health management community forums among adolescent girls and vulnerable women, through this we sensitize adolescent girls and vulnerable women in Kyengera Town Council on menstrual hygiene and health management, we also distribute sanitary pad to vulnerable women and adolescent girls.
What we have observed?
Many of these young girls, supported by Namigadde Initiative for Vulnerable Women and Children (NIVWOC in school), have long struggled with menstrual hygiene due to a lack of resources. The provision of pads not only improves their personal hygiene but also ensures that they attend school without disruption. This initiative is crucial in ensuring that girls remain in school without disruption due to lack of proper menstrual products. Many of the beneficiaries shared how this support has significantly improved their confidence and attendance in school.
